Wedding Rings – Come Fly With Me
According to a report on the BBC, a couple from North Wales have got something a little out of the ordinary in store for the wedding rings when they walk down the aisle. Weddings are supposed to be a memorable occasion and Stuart Desborough and Jenni Jones will ensure that theirs is memorable for all the guests by using a barn owl called Casber to swoop down and deliver the wedding rings.
Wedding Rings – A Wing And A Prayer
It may seem a risky move to entrust the wedding rings to a feathered friend but the bird’s trainer, and bride’s father, Islwyn Jones, tells the BBC that there is nothing for the bride and groom to fear, “Casber is highly trained. He will not lose the rings. He knows what to do. He will fly the wedding rings in to the happy couple to complete their special day.” The barn owl’s trainer, Mr Jones, is confident that the wedding rings are in safe hands or, indeed, a safe beak and insists that there is no chance of Casber flying away with the wedding rings. The bride to be shares her father’s confidence and tells the BBC, “There is no chance of him disappearing with the wedding rings. I have watched him train. It's going to be brilliant.”
Wedding Rings – The Birds
When it comes to the type of bird used to lighten up the wedding day by delivering the wedding rings, a barn owl is a logical choice. They are a highly intelligent bird of prey and can be trained to do all manner of complex tasks. All Jenni Jones and Stuart Desborough are asking for, however, is that Casber doesn’t make a flight from justice with the wedding rings; never to be seen again.
